After my move from Berlin to New York City, I discovered my creativity and love for the arts. It was a joyful time of learning and exploring. I had found my calling and had decided to pursue it professionally, but wasn’t sure how to get there.
My creativity took a new direction after I discovered the ‘Mac’ and the countless new possibilities. I completed 4 years of study at the Fashion Institute in N.Y.C which earned me a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts. Now it was time to move. Miami here I come.
Soon after, I launched PixelDesignMiami, a small graphic design studio with an emphasis on brand development and print design but working as a professional graphic designer diminished my passion and intuitive approach to creating art.
My drive and original creativity had been drained, I thought! ... Not so!
A client hired me to capture the tropical beauty of Miami for an ongoing photography project. The camera became my new tool and allowed me to rediscover my creative side. In 2015, a personal photography project titled 'The Tree Project' led me on a journey into digital art.
As a result of this photo project, I began to work on a digital collection that was based on the concept that a photo is just the beginning of an amazing transformation, I call PhotoLution, which is a metamorphosis of one or several images into new works of art by blending disciplines. My technique evolved by adding digital painting and collaging, as well as utilizing images created by artificial intelligence, resulting in truly mixed media pieces refined and finalized in Photoshop.
Landscape and nature photography evolved into a new direction with a focus on the abstract component in which art and photography intertwine and are no longer clearly identifiable.
Creative exploration, pushing boundaries, and experimenting is a constant part of my process. My artwork is testament of my creative journey, who I am as a human being and artist and how I view the world around me; with the ultimate goal to inspire and provoke the imagination!
